Lower Your Workers’ Comp Costs Through the

North Coast Building Industry Association, Minutemen HR Program

It’s Not Too Late to Change Your Provider!

Managing costs while protecting your employees is a priority for every business. One of the most effective ways to do both is by participating in a Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program.

Through the North Coast Building Industry Association, members can take advantage of our program through Minutemen HR Management Services. By being part of this group, you may benefit from significantly reduced workers’ compensation premiums.  In addition to potential savings, the program provides valuable support such as safety resources, claims management assistance, and tools that are designed to reward businesses that prioritize safety and proactive management.

This is more than just a cost-saving opportunity—it is a strategic advantage that helps strengthen your business and improve your bottom line.

If you have already signed up with this program, Thank You Very Much!

If you haven’t taken advantage of this group rating program, please consider filling out the AC3 form and send to:  anthony.dinunzio@minutemenhr.com

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT’S COLUMN
By Vincent J. Squillace
Executive Vice President

ODE TO RICH MCCLEERY

Beloved and deeply respected OHBA Past President Rich McCleery passed away last month.  Many plaudits could be memorialized here but Rich was never one for boasting.  For those who knew him, and that was many, he never asked for glory.  Rich showed his loyalty by serving the entire HBA network the best he could.

When I started here about 50 years ago, Rich was always eager to help out.  He was good friends with all of us on staff.  As he was on local planning boards, his knowledge of the land development and zoning process formed my understanding of which I have used countless times representing this industry.  He was an expert and could always find the information we needed to move discussions in the right way.

When we needed state legislative contacts, he was a shining star.  He knew his state legislators and when we needed a contact, he always delivered.  In fact, his legislators always contacted me to assure us Rich had delivered the message.

He was a model officer and president. He knew all the players and Local EO’s ; he kept things in balance, and everyone had confidence in his leadership.  He led OHBA through some very difficult financial times.  I can’t’ recall if he ever missed a meeting.

Working hard for Jay Buchert and Charlie Ruma, who both became Presidents of NAHB, he clearly helped establish Ohio as a leader in our national affiliation.  It was his shining personality and commitment which led to many friendships; builders, EO’s, and NAHB staff alike which elevated Ohio becoming a major player on the national scene.

He was a model officer, member and builder.  Hopefully, all who will aspire to lead us here will try to be like him.
