NAHB started the BEAM Award in 2011. One Builder is selected annually to receive the award. BEAM stands for “Builders Engaging Associate Members”.
Basically, it is getting Builders who really care about giving their business to Associate Members. The OHBA Membership Committee has decided to start the OHBA BEAM Award this year. The award will be presented at the OHBA Fall Board Meeting at the Hilton Easton in Columbus on November 17, 2026. A form is enclosed that the builder can fill out and present to their Local. The Local EO will compare the information presented on the form to ensure that the firms submitted are members of their Local.
We are asking our Local EO’s to submit this form to all your Builder members by asking them to consider submitting it to OHBA. We need to grow our membership, and we think this may get our builders to pause and think about using and even recruiting new members. The PDF form is attached for your use.
