MEMORIES
First, best wishes to all for a happy and joyous holiday season. And of course, best wishes for a prosperous and healthy 2026.
Now for the memories. We were advised by the new owner of our office building they would not renew our lease. We have been located here for more than 30 years and felt quite at home. That set us out looking for a new home to continue our work on your behalf.
As with any move it is a good time to clean out old files and the like. For me, it was a trip down memory lane. Our files, along with publications, go back more than 70 years. Legislative Reviews, meeting minutes, rosters and publications show a lot about OHBA, its officers and contributions to the industry. Without a doubt, Ohio is a better place to build homes because of OHBA and our affiliation. From local initiatives, leadership at NAHB and many Statehouse victories your association has kept its promise fulfilling its obligations to serve ALL who make a living in this industry.
Despite a new office location, your staff along with our officers, are deeply committed to serve the industry. We are the home construction industry which includes land developers, remodelers, and home construction specialists. We are the housing industry; without us it just never gets built. We have been building, developing, and improving housing in Ohio for decades and we will continue to do so for years to come.
That is a promise that has been pledged to by our members for many years.
