The North Coast Building Industry Association (NCBIA) Is Hitting the Ground Running In 2021!
Sara Majzun-Garwood, NCBIA President
My name is Sara Majzun-Garwood and I am the newly sworn in president for the North Coast Building Industry Association. This position means so much more to me than just a title. I grew up in this industry and I truly believe that this association does absolutely everything in its power to help its members grow and thrive. As a third-generation member I have been going to NCBIA events since before I could walk! My father, Chris Majzun Jr, and my grandfather, Chris Majzun were both past presidents before me, so I feel a great honor getting to take on this role following in their footsteps!
One of our goals within the NCBIA is to be that one stop shop for all your home improvement needs. From roofers to flooring, landscapers to mortgage lenders, we have the list of all of the local, REPUTABLE companies that can help turn your dream home into a realty. On our website, www.ncbia.com, you can find a complete list of all of our member companies under the consumers find a pro tab. Not sure exactly what you are looking for? Give our office a call at 440.934.1090 and our friendly staff can help point you in the right direction!
Another one of our huge goals this year is to help grow the ever-shrinking building industry workforce. The average age of workers in the trades currently is 58! In the next 5 years this is going to pose a real problem for our member companies if it hasn’t done so already. We have partnered with the Lorain County JVS to come up with a great program to mentor those individuals that are in the trade’s programs there. More information will be released on that as the details get finalized but just know we are working feverishly behind the scenes to make this program available as soon as possible!
I look forward to all of the exciting plans the NCBIA has in store for 2021 and I cannot wait to see the positive impact we will have on the building industry and our surrounding local communities this year! #TeamNCBIA
