Last week’s article our President, Jeremy Vorndran wrote about How to Find a Builder Right for You!
Now we are looking to the future and our future builders! With schools closed, we decided to host a Lego contest for students to inspire future builders.
While spending time at home the NCBIA wants to see what kids can create for a new contest. For parents who are doing schoolwork at home with your kids we have an idea to add some creative technical education skills into their routine.
It is time to round up all the Legos (No Legos? No problem!). Houses can be built with something you have around the house! Be creative as possible and get building!
Future builders ages 3-18 can show off their skills to win prizes ($25 Amazon Gift Cards). Age groups are as follows: 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-15 & 16-18
Once your home is complete, take a picture and send it to info@ncbia.com with the subject Lego Contest by May 15, 2020 and include the first name and age of the child who built the house. Please note: all entries must be original, and no kits are allowed!
Our team of “experts” will choose the winners in each category. Winners will be posted on our Facebook page and notify the winners via email.
The NCBIA wanted to provide a fun and creative way to expose our youth to the building industry. When children get asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” We believe that the building industry should be in the realm of possibilities that one might want to strive for. We want students to understand how they could be a part of an industry that builds and develops communities and be a part of the American Dream.
