Event Descriptions
General Membership Meetings
Three times a year (March, May & October), NCBIA members and guests get together to network and catch up on what’s been going on with the association at a General Membership Meeting. General Membership meetings offer members the chance to promote their new products and services through tabletop displays. Members have the chance to hear a professional speaker at the October GM meeting that also serves as the Election Night for new Board Members. General Membership Meetings occasionally are preceded by a Builders ONLY Forum where NCBIA builder members get the chance to talk about a current issue or program.
Satellite Breakfast
NCBIA hosts a breakfast meeting in the Erie/Huron county area each month (excluding May thru August) for members to network and hear a speaker that is pertinent to that area. These events are open to all members of the NCBIA.
Industry Events
NCBIA offers two Industry Events each year that are open to the general public: The Parade of Homes® and the annual Home & Remodeling Expo.
The EVENTs
The Industry Support Committee holds four educational/networking events each year where members can enjoy hors d’ oeuvres and gain knowledge about an industry-related topic that is current and significant to their business.
The Parade of Homes®
The Parade of Homes, held in the spring each year, is a scattered site new home tour that is free for the general public. The parade features new homes by many of our builder members in Erie, Huron and Lorain counties.
The Home & Remodeling Show
The Home & Remodeling Show is held each spring to showcase our home improvement & remodeling members to the general public. It is held at a different location each year and a minimal admission fee is charged for the public to attend.
Membership Events
NCBIA Members enjoy several membership events throughout the year that offer the opportunity to network and make business contacts.
Elected Officials Reception
This annual event held in April is produced in conjunction with the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce, Lorain County Association of Realtors and Team Lorain County. Elected Officials from all over Lorain County are invited to mix and mingle with members from all four organizations. This is an opportunity for our members to meet & share their views with their elected officials.
Golf Classic
The NCBIA’s annual golf outing held each August at Sweetbriar Golf Course is host to over 200 members, clients and guests each year.
Clambake
The NCBIA’s annual clambake event held each September where NCBIA members and guests have a chance to network with colleagues, listen to great music, enjoy fabulous clambake fare and win great prizes.
Installation & Hall of Fame Banquet
The NCBIA’s annual banquet where the new Board of Directors and Officers are sworn in. This event is also host to the North Coast BIA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies where our own members are inducted into our association’s hall of fame. This gala event is held in December each year and gives members a chance to have social time with business associates as well as a chance to thank those who have done so much to support this association and the industry.
Council Events
Remodelers Council Meetings
The NCBIA Remodelers Council holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the BIA offices at 3:30pm. Anyone interested in joining the Remodelers Council is welcome to attend. The Remodelers Council also hosts an annual golf outing in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Council.
Sales & Marketing Council Meetings
The NCBIA Sales & Marketing Council holds several networking mixers each year that are scheduled as the calendar permits. They also hold at least 2 educational courses open to all NCBIA members. Courses are both construction-related and business related and are scheduled as the calendar permits.
